Guided Meditations
Meditation has this incredible ability to bring about a state of calm. It begins with the breath, a decreased heart rate follows. Next we move into a place of peace, a place of balance. We feel grounded and centered. We feel connected to an infinite source of energy that is available to all of us. We just need to learn how to access it.
Join me in this calm place and follow along to either one of my guided meditations or visualizations. I’m looking forward to sharing these with you. Please stay tuned for this service!

What They Say
Can I still do yoga even though I'm not flexible?
You don’t have to be flexible to do yoga. But yoga will help you become more flexible. You simply start where you are and go from there. Never pushing yourself, just listening and gently challenging, learning to be comfortable with where you are.
Why do I find it so hard to meditate?
If you have a lot going on in your life, if your head is FULL of harried or distracting thoughts, it’s hard to know how to quiet the chatter. This is why we call yoga and meditation a discipline. It takes time and training to teach yourself, your mind, to be still. Go slow. Have patience. A good place to start is by following your breath. This is meditation.
What are the chakras and how do they help my yoga practice?
Chakras are energy centres or energy points within the body that receive and transmit life force energy in a spiralling manner. At its most basic level, we have 7 major chakras that run along the spine, almost like a map, each corresponding to a different colour and different area of the body and bodily functions. Organizing the yoga postures by chakra, as I have done in my book The Beauty of Yoga, helps ensure not only that every muscle group in the physical body has been worked, but also gives the opportunity for emotional and/or mental blocks to shift and move. You’re more ensured that the “whole” body, physically, mentally and emotionally, has been worked.
There is a subtle connection between our bodies, our breath, our emotions, thoughts, ideas, and actions, and working with the chakras helps maintain a balanced flow of energy throughout all these systems. Having a basic understanding of the chakras is your most powerful tool in your spiritual journey – that is, your journey to understanding yourself.
